UBUD MONKEY FOREST

Monkeys are somehow cute. Who is agree with me?  Oh just look at these innocent eyes.

On my latest trip to Bali, The Ubud Monkey Forest was on the list of places that I want to visit with my friends. I've visited this monkey forest back when I was still in high school (ohh I'm old now). There must be some changes over the past years, but I don't really remember what are the difference, other than entrance fee. It's IDR 40.000,- for adult and IDR 30.000,- for child. This monkey forest open everyday from 8.30am to 6.00pm. Since this place is one of Bali's top attraction, no wonder that it's crowded.

This Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, or more popular with The Ubud Monkey Forest located in Ubud, Bali.  Other than full of long tailed gray macaques, you can also find many Hindu temples inside this area. Don't forget to buy bananas from a small stall not far from the entrance gate, so that you can feed some monkeys. Beware with your belongings like your sunglasses, because they can take it anytime.

Overall, I like this monkey forest, simply because, it's cute to see them eat their banana, playing with each other and of course their fleas hunting activity (like the picture above). Psst, you better don't try to look a monkey in the eyes for too long, because somehow they can take it as a sign from you to challenge them and they will come to you...
