GUEST POST : WHY VISIT QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

Queensland is the royal state of Australia. Located on the northeastern part of the country it was named after the Queen Victoria, Britain’s second longest reigning monarch.  Due to the amazing 300 sunny days a year, it often referred to as The Sunshine State. It is the home to some of the country’s most notable sites and it can blow away any visitor with its dazzling nature and its vivid cities (10 of Australia’s 30 largest cities). Queensland is fully equipped to provide you with both high-class luxury vacations to unforgettable adrenaline adventure. If you need more reasons to visit The Sunshine State, read on.

Scenic Nature
The shiniest part of Australia is rich with diverse nature, and you can enjoy sandy beaches of the Gold Coast and the luminous greenery of the Daintree rainforest. The amazing Whitsunday Islands (74 islands of different size) have more than 400 different species of coral reef. If you are in search for desert-like island which you can walk through on foot for 45 minutes, you can visit Lady Elliot’s island. One of the greatest wonders of the state is, of course, Great Barrier Reef, the only living thing visible from space (2000km/1240mi conglomeration of colourful coral). The ancient rainforests of Boodjamulla National Park, Cobbold Gorge, Mossman Gorge, Atherton Tablelands and the Castle Rock, are just some of the scenic sites of Queensland.

The Pampering Options
If you are in a mood for some indulging, Queensland is the right state for you. Just look at some of the beaches, such as Betty’s Beach, and you will see that simply spending an entire day out there will be a proper pampering. Not only that, the state is full of relaxation retreats which will help you unwind, relax and reenergize. The resorts and spas are adapted to the specific needs of the users, so you can find different treatments, from a lunch hour massage to spiritual counselling and a two weeks long retreat.

Pulsing City Life
We have already mentioned that Queensland is a home to 10 of 30 Australia’s largest cities, and all of them have their advantages, but this time, we will speak about the best of them all – Brisbane. Brisbane will never let you to be bored. With its vivid cultural and art scene, renowned restaurants and bursting nightlife, this city will capture your heart forever. There is simply no end to what you can do in Brisbane, from shopping to river cruising and visiting various events.

Gourmet Paradise
If you enjoy trying out different dishes and experimenting with flavours, Queensland will provide you exactly what you need. Seafood is, logically, the signature food of the region, but it is made in so many different ways that you will be excited about every meal. Different kinds of fruits (mangoes, avocadoes, pineapples, etc.) will make your staying much more pleasant, but you will also have to try Queensland’s native macadamia nuts. Leave some room in your belly for signature wine, beer and rum.

ADVENTURE AWAITS!
Adventure is always awaiting for the brave in Queensland. You can choose to explore the underwater world, by diving, snorkelling or swimming with the turtles. Playing on the surface of the water is also an option, so do not steer away from surfing, cruising, etc. One unique adventure, that can be seen only in The Sunshine State is the Kuranda rail journey, where you can see hanging bridges, stunning waterfalls and captivating rainforests.

We think that those were reasons enough to get you to pack your bags head to exploring of this wonderful Australian state. Bon voyage!
